John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
He didn’t ask him if he wanted to feel better but do you want to be well and complete.
A lot of people come to church to feel better but they are not getting well. We can come to be comfortable, but not improving.
Brokenness is necessary if I want to be a channel for the lava flow of God’s spirit. The invasion of his power in manifestation does not start on the outside, but rather through the revival of forgotten virtues on the inside such as love, joy, perseverance, loyalty, and self-control. Brokenness yields to the nature of God to assume full control on the inside.
When the King assumes the throne of my heart, his Kingdom becomes the very atmosphere of heart and is the environment for my emotions to grow in.
When my mind is on things above, it will be revealed through my reactions to things here below. Those reactions become a testimony to the spectators of the world viewing my allegiance to the King of Kings. My ambassadorship is authenticated because of not violating my government’s directives and positions.
What makes me effective is not my denomination affiliation, church membership, or my religious routines, but my consistent yielding to the desires of the Lord Jesus Christ.
